ABOUT

WEI

Wei-Sheng Wang left his native Taiwan at the age of twelve to pursue his dream of becoming a fashion designer. Over the next few years, his journey led him to Canada, the United States, and ultimately to France where Wang enrolled in Parsons Paris, graduating in the Spring of 2018 with a BFA in Fashion Design.

During his time at Parsons, he undertook coursework in graphics design, textiles (surface and materials), as well as tailoring and structure. Wang completed internships at Sacai in 2016 and Loewe in 2017, and was also selected for a Woolmark scholarship for the 2017 school year, during which time he was taught by Christoph Hefti.

During his final year, he was taught by and worked in collaboration with haute couture designers Tal Lancman and Maurizio Galante. Outside of Parsons, Wang also undertook coursework in draping at the Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne and embroidery at the Ecole Lesage. After a year-long mandatory stint in the Taiwanese military, Wang’s interest in men’s fashion has been rekindled, and he is especially interested in exploring genderless clothing.

His most recent spring and summer collection was showed in Paris Fashion Week 2020. Above all, his goal is to craft vintage-inspired, modern takes on contemporary european fashion, infusing the romance of fashion’s golden age with recent innovations in the industry. His work is informed by his unshakeable belief that fashion cultivates confidence, and empowers people to be who they are and live proudly as they please.
